Commitment to Community

Good Neighbors, Good Employers

The Levin family and our management teams are committed to being good neighbors and supporting the long-term goals of the communities in which we operate and make our homes.

We pride ourselves on providing good-paying jobs, economic stability, civic engagement, and financial and volunteer support for a multitude of non-profit social and educational organizations within both the City of Richmond and throughout West Contra Costa County.

As a member of the Bay Planning Coalition, Council of Industries, and Richmond Chamber of Commerce, the Levin Richmond Terminal stays connected to businesses and the economic foundation of the community.

And our employees proudly participate in the Coronado Neighborhood Council, Marina Bay Neighborhood Council, and the Santa Fe Neighborhood Council to ensure that the Levin Richmond Terminal is keenly aware of local issues and understand the special needs of the various communities.

Because our definition of success extends beyond our fence line, so we've invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into improving the safety and quality of life of the local community. For example, we provide labor, equipment, and materials to regularly clean up homeless encampments along Castro Street. And we've provided K-rails to guide traffic and placed concrete safety barriers to prevent pedestrians or vehicles from inadvertently veering into the right-of-way of the railroad.
