LRTC Terminal operations are conducted on the Inner Harbor of the City of Richmond situated on the northeasterly shore of San Francisco Bay. The Ship Channel leading to the Terminal is maintained by the United States Army Corps of Engineers at a depth of 38 feet Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW).

Cargo at LRTC is handled at two berths, 650 ft (198.17m) and 850 ft (259.15m). The maximum size vessel loaded at LRTC had a DWT of 62,105LT and LOA of 781 ft (238.01m).
The wharf at Berth A is expressly constructed to handle Heavy Lift Cargos. The wharf and the cranes are currently being seismically updated to handle heavier cargos. The wharf at Berth A is 650 feet long.
The wharf at Berth B is 850 feet long and is designed to handle the transfer of bulk cargos between ship and land carrier or ship and stockpile.
Both wharves are equipped with double railroad tracks with adjacent stockpile areas. The railroad tracks are served by a network of spur tracks and nearby railroad storage areas.
A 52,000 square-foot warehouse is located near Berth A and is currently being used for calcined coke storage. Sites on adjacent properties are available for constructing covered storage facilities.
Five and one-half acres of uncovered, concrete-surfaced storage immediately adjacent the docks are available and designed to handle the same heavy loading as the wharves. An additional 10 acres are available for new projects and tenants.
LRTC’s weighing facilities consist of two computerized highway truck scales operated sixteen (16) hours a day and one 350 ton capacity railroad scale. Levin-Richmond Terminal issues Certified Weights for railcars or trucks.
The Terminal properties is served by a network of publicly maintained streets which connect directly with the principal interstate highway systems.
All of the lands of the Terminal are served by electric power and industrial water systems.
