
LRTC prides itself on civic involvement through participation and financial support of non-profit social and educational organizations within the City of Richmond and West Contra Costa County. Management is committed to being a good neighbor and supporting the long-term goals of the City of Richmond.
Being a member of the Bay Planning Coalition, Council of Industries, and Richmond Chamber of Commerce, LRTC stays connected to the businesses within the community.
As a member of the Coronado Neighborhood Council, Marina Bay Neighborhood Council and the Santa Fe Neighborhood Council, LRTC is aware of community issues and concerns. We have employee participation in these councils to ensure our understanding of the special needs of the various communities.
LRTC is a strong supporter of the Richmond Police Activities League (PAL) which is an important program for the youth in Richmond. The company also supports the East Bay Center for the Performing Arts, YMCA and Richmond Art Center that provide programs for the youth of Richmond. LRTC supports education for the youth of Richmond and other special needs groups t
hat benefit the community.
We are proud to support programs like YouthWORKS which sent a note to the Council of Industries thanking several of the member companies for their donations in 2012. "YouthWORKS is pleased to announce the receipt of donations from Richmond Pacific Railroad, Levin Richmond Terminal, Chevron, Sims Metal Management, Castrol/BP and California Oils for the summer youth employment program."
