Land, Rail & Water Access Overview

LRTC is located in the San Francisco Bay Area Region. We are located 10 miles east of the Golden Gate Bridge with easy freeway access.
The marine terminal is closer to the Asian markets than many other California ports which translates into expedited vessel transit times.
Land Access
Access to LRTC via Interstate Highway 580 is only ¼ mile from the marine terminal. Highway 580 connects with U.S. Highway 101, Interstate Highway 80 and Interstate Highway 5.
Rail Access
Access to LRTC by rail is via the Richmond Pacific Railroad which connects directly with the BNSF and the Union Pacific Railroad.
Water Access
LRTC can be accessed from the entrance of San Francisco Bay through the federally maintained John F. Baldwin Ship Channel. The Channel and the Long Wharf turning basin at the entrance to Richmond’s Harbor Channel are maintained at 38 feet Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW).
